Furthermore, we have been able to obtain some display models that are still in very good physical condition, with the only larger blemish being moderate “burn-in” of the screen, meaning if you view a pure-white screen you will see slight shadowing (refer to the photos in the gallery below). The price on these can’t be beat for these specs, making this a great option if you are wanting an iodéOS (also spelled iodéOS, iodé OS, iodeOS, or iode OS) device that won’t break the bank!

OnePlus has always been known for their high-end devices, often with build quality and specs that are unrivaled in the industry. Their “Nord” line is their more budget-friendly series, but as noted the specs often outrival other mid-tier devices. One thing holding OnePlus back is their stock OS, but with iodéOS this is solved: no more locked down devices with bundled apps that you can’t remove!

NOTE: iodé (also spelled iodé or iode) themselves do not provide official builds for this device, but we at OpenMobile create our own builds and provide OTA (“Over The Air”) monthly updates for them.

Also note that our build process doesn’t allow the bootloader to be relocked, so we sell them with the bootloader unlocked. There will be a message at boot to this effect, but never fear: your personal user data is always encrypted and secure with modern Android! It can only be decrypted using your unlock pattern or password, even if you lose your phone. A malicious actor with access to an unlocked bootloader and some programming skills can access ‘fastboot’ commands or the ‘recovery’ program. While they could install a new operating system, the personal user data on the device will not be accessible.
