These upgrades mean that you get a scratch-free screen and a long battery life from a device much more affordable than anything else we can offer. With 4GB of RAM and a very responsive Snapdragon 670 chipset we don’t hesitate to offer this as a true “budget friendly daily driver” option.

This phone has a large Linux community following and we have been enthusiastic supporters of the Linux development efforts for this model over the past several years. There are options to run postmarketOS, Mobian, and Ubuntu Touch on it even if these systems aren’t fully capable of “daily driving” in the USA on it due to VoLTE reliability challenges. But we will always hold dear any Pixel 3a build options and those that put in great efforts to support this device.

NOTE: iodé iodé iode do not provide official builds for this device, but we at Open Mobile create our own builds and provide OTA (“Over The Air”) monthly updates. Do note that our build process doesn’t allow the bootloader to be relocked, but never fear: your personal user data is always encrypted and secure with modern Android.
